Your investment can earn returns in two ways, through dividends and/or appreciation.

Dividends represent your share of any income earned on the projects in your portfolio. You receive dividends as quarterly cash payments that are either distributed to your bank account or reinvested, depending on your preference. To learn more about dividends at Fundrise, read our full blog post.

Appreciation represents an increase in the value of your investment. This portion of the estimated return comes from changes in the net asset value (NAV) of the shares. To learn more about appreciation at Fundrise, read our full blog post.

Once invested on the platform you can track your returns at any time from the Portfolio Page of your Investor Dashboard. Under the “Value” section of this page you can view your returns broken out by “Gross Dividends” and “Appreciation”.
