We’ve been actively working to expand the range of features and benefits offered to investors at the Premium account level, beginning with the launch of priority account support earlier this year. Now, we’re pleased to announce two more additions to the Premium account level. To take advantage of these opportunities, you’ll need to verify your status as an accredited investor (moving forward, we expect that the majority of Premium products will require you to verify your accreditation in order to participate).
New investment product: Short-term notes (coming soon)
Yields on money market funds, CDs, and other short-term investment products are at or near all-time lows — and if the Fed’s recent meeting is any indication, they aren’t likely to increase anytime soon. That’s why we’re excited to announce the upcoming beta release of our short-term notes product.
This product is designed to offer a better interest rate than you could earn from traditional short-term investment products, while at the same time providing our eREITs with a more flexible form of borrowing capital than is available from banks.
We anticipate sharing more details in the near future, but we expect this product to offer 2 - 3% annualized interest rates and durations ranging from 3 - 12 months.
New benefit: Private offerings of closed eREITs
If you’ve been investing with us for a while, you may be aware that our eREITs are limited by securities regulations to raising $50 million per year via a public offering, which is why they may be unavailable for investment from time to time. As a verified accredited investor, however, you can now bypass this limitation and invest directly into any of the following eREITs through a private offering — even if its public offering is fully subscribed — giving you an even greater ability to customize your portfolio by choosing where and when to invest.

The minimum initial investment into an eREIT via a private offering is $25,000; the minimum for subsequent investments into the same fund is $1,000. We anticipate making additional eREITs available via private offering in the future, and will be sure to notify you once these are open to investment.
