The Innovation Fund intends to invest in a diversified portfolio of private high-growth technology companies, with an initial focus on several sectors that we believe have exceptional macro tailwinds.
While the Innovation Fund expects to focus primarily on late-stage companies, it is intended to be a “multi-stage” fund investing in both early-stages and late-stages, as well as holding some public equities. We intend to invest in these companies primarily before they IPO or “go public,” a time in their lifecycle that has historically been inaccessible to most individuals.
Over the previous 20 years, fewer companies have been going public, or they have been going public much later in their lifecycle, which means individual investors miss out on investing during a seminal high growth period.
