We’ve invested roughly $2.5 million in a 72,209 square foot office and warehouse in Washington D.C.’s Edgewood neighborhood. A charter school, City Arts and Prep Performing Arts School, is currently occupying the property and serving over 500 students.
The project’s sponsor, Mosaic Realty Partners, is a Washington D.C. based private real estate investment firm focused on office, retail, and industrial assets in the mid-Atlantic. Since inception in 2012, Mosaic has acquired 1.1 million square feet of commercial property with a total investment value in excess of $200 million.
Edgewood is a neighborhood in Northeast Washington, DC that is undergoing major redevelopment efforts. A 20-acre community revitalization, the Rhode Island Avenue Corridor, is expected to feature 1,760 residential units and nearly 181,000 square feet of commercial space surrounding a pedestrian plaza with green space. As the neighborhood is revitalized, homebuyers have begun to see Edgewood as an affordable alternative to other popular neighborhoods nearby.
