In November 2018, we invested $4.4 million in the acquisition of a 14-acre property in Charlotte, North Carolina, as the future site of a 309-unit apartment community. The borrower successfully executed on the plans to progress through design and permitting on the property.

Now that the property is shovel ready, the borrower paid back this bridge loan and obtained separate construction financing from the Growth eREIT II. We’re pleased to announce that our investment earned a rate of return of roughly 10%¹ over the term.
