You asked, and we listened. After gathering extensive feedback from investors, we’re excited to announce a completely overhauled investor dashboard, designed to give you a better understanding of your investments and how they’re performing.

On a high level, the Account Overview and Portfolio tabs have been merged into one unified view, which is where you’ll land when you log in. We’ve also added more detailed insights into your account by introducing five new “deep dive” pages: Allocation, Performance, Transactions, Updates, and Documents, which are covered in more detail below.

Open investments are just a click away at the Invest tab in the main menu.

Now that we’ve got the basics covered, let’s jump into a detailed breakdown of changes.

Account Overview

investor dashboard and returns

The new Account Overview gives you a bird’s-eye view of your Fundrise account.

The upper section includes key metrics around the performance of your account, a list of your active investments, and a pie chart representing the total value of your account, as well as allocation by Fundrise Rating. The pie chart will remain in the sidebar of all your account pages, so you always have a reminder of what you own.

Further down the page you’ll find a Total Returns to Date chart, which tracks the total returns earned to date in each quarter since you opened your account. Total returns include returns distributed to you and undistributed returns which accrue until an investment completes.

We’ve also introduced a new section called Recent Activity, which aggregates your most recent orders, investment updates, and documents into one convenient feed.

dashboard allocation

This section provides a detailed look at the investments that compose your account. It’s a simple way for you to see how you’re diversified across investments, geographical regions, and Fundrise ratings.

portfolio performance

This page includes three main charts:

  • Total Returns to Date, which should look familiar from your Account Overview.
  • Distributed Returns, which gives you a record of cash income from your account on a quarterly basis.
  • Principal Outstanding shows the amount of invested principal you’ve had during each month since you opened your account. Making new investments increases principal outstanding, while receiving principal payments decreases your principal outstanding.

transaction history

This page is a historical record of all transactions associated with your account, including orders, interest distributions, and principal distributions, in reverse chronological order.

investment updates

Now, all of your updates are aggregated at the account level, making it easier than ever to track the progress of your investments. Updates are also still available within the detail view of each of your investments.

documents page

Documents houses tax and investment documents for every one of your investments. Like updates, documents are still available within the detail view of every investment.

A Better Mobile Experience

As more and more investors log into Fundrise from smartphones and tablets, we’re working harder than ever to ensure a smooth mobile experience. We’ve retooled small design details like typographical sizing and rhythm, retina-friendly iconography, and responsive tables to make sure your dashboard looks as good on your phone as it does on your desktop.

We’re Just Getting Started

This release is just the first phase of a much larger product roadmap we have planned. Stay tuned as we continue to make additions and improvements. A preview of what we have in store:

  • A comprehensive schedule for when you can expect distributions and principal returns
  • A view of completed investments and a summary of their performance
  • Improved ways to calculate your total account return

What’s Missing? What Doesn’t Make Sense?

Although we’re confident that this update will improve your experience on Fundrise, there are likely items that you feel are missing or unclear.
