Epic Games operates three interconnected lines of business:
- Fortnite / first-party games: Epic operates Fortnite, a massively popular online multiplayer game, known for pioneering the battle royale genre. Fortnite regularly includes collaborations with some of the most iconic and culturally relevant entertainment brands including Star Wars, Marvel, Lego, the NFL, the Simpsons, and Squid Games among others. Epic also owns Rocket Racing (Rocket League) and Fall Guys.
- Unreal Engine: Epic’s market-leading game engine used by developers to create high-quality, AAA games. The Unreal Engine powers Epic’s Fortnite as well as AAA games including Batman: Arkham Knight, Borderlands 4, and future Halo Studios games. The Unreal Engine is also used in film and television, famously powering virtual sets for Disney’s The Mandalorian.
